Meatcrafting: a 4th of July Story
This article is about one woman's experience in the ever exciting world of crafting with meat. After reading the recipe listed in Bad Grandma’s Recipe Hell recipes: Fun With Franks: a.k.a. CRAFTS WITH MEATS, Alicia K. was inspired to share her BBQ adventures and earned herself a free dishtowel in the process.
~Alicia K. read Bad Grandma’s last blog post and had a mission:
“I was so excited to make the bacon wrapped dogs for the 4th of July BBQ.”
~Independence Day is perfect for meat, Bad Grandma’s always said. What was Alicia’s approach?
“I made two varieties: apple-cheese and onion. Well, the recipe was intriguing by conception but challenging to execute.”
~But execute she did! Check out these dogs:
~The recipe was not without its challenges, as is anything worthwhile in life. Here’s what Alicia had to say:
The apple wouldn’t stay tucked in the dog and the cheese completely melted away to the bottom of the grill. Oh well, they were tasty regardless, especially the apple/bacon combo.
~Tasty regardless is what meatcrafting is all about! Nice job hon, and thanks for sharing!
